Well, hi folks, hope you are are all warm and cosy?

I am really cold a lot of the time which makes crafting and stamping a bit difficult, but fingerless gloves may have to be purchased!!!

So today I thought I would share a few samples (at long last I hear you shout!!) using one of the Sale-a-bration sets of stamps! I have been busy, but not getting much chance to get stuff photographed and edited to go on here, so very sorry.

So these are a few samples I have made using the set Fresh Vintage. There is also some of the lovely Everyday Enchantment papers that are available too. Some of these are cased from the internet and some from training and some of my own, but they all give some great ideas on what can be done with this lovely set.

I love this set and the way it can be so diverse is an added extra.

Lollipop tree...

Hi all, Monday morning horrors here!!! Can I just comment that I hate cars!!! If I could walk everywhere I really would. Anyway, enough of my ranting, onto something nice and fun!

This weekend was our eldest son's birthday, he turned 7!! So we had a bit of a party and some fun. It seems to be a tradition that you take something in for friends in the class when it's your birthday too, so that was the plan for him today.

I had seen this idea on a blog and thought it was really great idea, so I thought I would make him his own lollipop tree to take in. Just to make a change, and he thought it was really cool too!!

So this is it!!

It is quite difficult to photograph actually but it uses the Petal Cone die.

I used some Not Quite Navy card and made the cone. I then stuck this onto a Lucky Limeade base square to support it. I put holes randomly into all four sides before sticking together and these are then where the lollipops stick into.

I could have really gone to town I think, but this simple sample was received with lots of 'wows' and 'oohs' from the four of them this morning, oh and his teacher too!! So I thought wyh make any more work for myself?!

So there we are, a quick quirky gift idea for you on this freezing Monday.

Queen for the day...

Do you like the title for today??

Did you wonder what inspired it??

Well, it is actually one of the greetings from the new stamp set You're a Gem in the mini catalogue. I used it for a birthday card recently, made for a friend who is a bit of a fan of SU products(!!), so I thought I would share the card with you.

It's funny actually because there was certain factors that inspired the card. Firstly I wanted to play with some of my new products,but then the addition that the recipient was going to be inpressed by them too!!

So what did I use?

The greeting as I have mentioned was from the set You're a Gem, a great little set with some lovely and very usable greetings. Great value too at only £10.95 for clear mount and £13.95 for wood, and there are 8 greetings in the set.

I also then used some of the new trinkets!! These are just lovely. You have to see them really to get the true quality of them. I love that there is a mixture of designs in each of the sets, making them really versatile, for card making, scrapbooking and also the Simply Adorned jewelry range too.

So I used one of the crowns, but there is a set with keys too and they both come with different options for fixing/fastening them to your creations.

I got the crown stamped image from the set Every Little Bit but added the twist of some block stamping behind and then punching out with the new postage stamp punch. I really liked the fact that laying them side by side showed the stamp effect to it's full. This idea with one image coming away was from another card I saw, but loved it. You can really imagine a row of stamps ready to lick and stick on the envelope.

Gosh I really did play with this card, because I also used the Big Shot to emboss the pink layer, using the Square Lattice embossing folder. I also used the Dotted scallop ribbon border punch to create the white ribbon effect on the bottom half.

I then went on..... yes there was more!!!! I heat embossed the greeting in White embossing powder so it stood out against the Melon Mambo cardstock!! Lovin' this!! I really enjoyed using all these great products.

Those final touches were the crown, which was adhered easily with glue dots and some faithful Rhinestone for that added bling!!

I have to say it was received very well and sat here now writing this, I must have had a ball making this!! I don't think I have ever made a card with sooooooo much product on it, fantastic!!!

Monday morning normailty...

Well, I am hoping for some sense of normality anyway.

My children are all back to school and I have card class this morning and this evening, so here is hoping!!

I thought I would quickly try the second card we made on Saturday, all being well blogger will play ball today.

Well, it has just taken four atttempts but we got there!

This card uses the stamp set Fruit and Flowers and the card base colour is Wisteria Wonder. I used the Berry Blossom designer series paper as the key colour guide. The panels were punched out using thenew postage punch, it really is a lovely effect. Layering it up works well with the scallop square punch and also the two square punches. All sorts of effects can be created, so be sure to try them all out when you can.

So the other colours we used were Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral and Early Espresso. The greeting is from the set Curly Cute and we stamped it onto the banner that is on the Petal Cone Bigx L die, for use in the Big Shot.

We also did a bit of spritzing on the main card with some Early Espresso, just to give a little bit of added texture feeling to the card.

I have to admit to loviong this card and it looks so much more dramatic in real life.

Spring mini launch...

Hi folks, hope you are having a relaxing Saturday evening?

This morning was my drop in for the launch of the Spring mini catalogue, and thank you to those ladies that came along, a good time was had by all I think?

So i thought I would share the cards we made using some of the lovely new products.

Okay, so this was one of them. This uses the Build a Cupcake stamp set and the coordinating Builder punch, Cupcake.

I wasn't convinced about these until I started to use them and they really are lovely. I am already seeing lots of other uses for the images and shapes already, so watch this space!!

The colours are based around the designer series papers Just Add Cake, which is in the main Idea Book and Cataolgue but suited the really bright and cheerful idea of the card, which I have to remember was case'd from a card over on Splitcoast. So the colours are Poppy Parade and Baja Breeze, with some Blushing Bride and Early Espresso.

The little tab of ribbon is the Poppy Parade stitched-poly ribbon from the Idea Book and Catalogue.

I will have to show the other card later now, as blogger has decided it wants to turn that image around every way but the right one, so the other card will follow.

Spring mini Get Well...

Good morning all.

I have a card to share today that was based on a card from the blogging world, and uses the new Berry Blossoms designer papers and the stamp set Fruit and Flowers. I am never sure about products until I see them used in real life and I have to tell you...this is so lovely in real life!

The colours are just so bright and cheerful, so perfect for the Get Well Soon message the card sends.

The colours are calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade and Whisper White. The stamp set is Fruit and Flowers from the Spring Mini and the designer series paper is Berry Blossoms, again from the Spring mini!!

The get well greeting is from the stamp set Delightful Dozen from the main Idea Book and Catalogue (p85) and punched out using the two sizes of tag punches.

Just quick post for you, but better than nothing I am sure?

A little late I know and very much missing in action, very sorry.

Saturday class...

Hi folks, hope you are having a nice weekend. It's lovely and sunny here, but on the chilly side!!

Anyway, I have a quick reminder for you and a photo, of next Saturday's monthly class. This is my Saturday class that I run once a month, from 10 -1, at Richmond Villages, Painswick.

Wow, amazing time...

I thought I would share a bit of conventio with you today. This is the third convention and I have been lucky enough to have made it to each one. This was the best yet thgouh as I was able to share the experience with three ladies from my own team.

We shared a room and in addition to sharing the fun we also shared the amazing achievements we have all made over the last year with Stampin' Up!

We got all dressed up for the award meal on the Friday evening...

We found some lovely person to take our picture in this lovely Disney scene!!!! Not sure what happened to the rest of us!!!!!

Luckily I have found that Caroline's photo was much better!!!

Anyway, Caroline achived an award for her sales, and in addition to some awards Kerry and I made the top 25 demonstrators. Kerry was at number 13 and I was number 11. I m very proud of all these ladies, becuas without them and you folks I wouldn't be thre, so thank you to you all. Long may it continue as I just love doing this.

My lovely upline Amanda, was number 2 demo again for the second year running, amazing!! Well done :)

Well, I have classes to sort and cards and samples to make, so I will be going.

Sacked...

Oh my goodness folks. How long!!!!

So sorry for lack of posts again... I think I am just going to have to stop punishing myself about it. If you pop along that is lovely, but I hope you don't stop popping in thinking it's a waste of time :(

Anyway, I wanted to let you know I am back from the third Stampin' Up! European convention.

I had a great weekend, spending time with some of the ladies in my team and the bigger Stampin' Up! family.

I have laughed, cried, eaten, drunk (not too much!!), shared, been inspired, stamped (of course!!), spent money and generally had a lovely time.

There is so much I have to share but it will be spread over time, and some I can't even share because if I did...I would have to kill you!! NO! NO! only joking. But we did get some amazing news that you are going to love and I can't wait until I can share it with you. I know you are going to love it as much as we all did.

So today I am sharing some little gift bags I made. I shared a room with three lovely ladies from my team - Kerry, Gilly and Caroline. Boy did we have a laugh!! But it is a little tradition (if you can) to make your roomie a little gift. So this is what I made for them.

I made four so I could have one too. I just loved them, I couldn't go without!!

So there was Soft Suede with Certainly Celery, Cajun Craze with So Saffron, Not Quite Navy with Baja Breeze and Perfect Plum with Pretty in Pink. They were all made on a Crumb Cake card base.

Now would you like to know what was inside????

Well I put a convention survival kit!!! I saw this on a US demo blog and loved the idea, so took inspiration from it.

So we had, tissues (laughing so hard we cried!!), wet wipes, chewing gum, lip balm, toffees (for that much needed sugar rush) and some paracetamol, not sure if that was for lack of caffeine or alcahol after affects!!!!

Anyway, it went down very well, and was much appreciated.

So would you like to see what I received in return form the ladies???

You will need to pop back, sorry not taken picture yet!!!! But let me tell you they were beautiful. Lovely gifts to be kept and treasured, so I will share later.

A great layout...

Hi all.

Today I am sharing a couple of cards. I am doing this because it shows how one layout can inspire a number of cards.

Now I know the two blue ones are similar, but again, I wanted to show how although they are the same, the greeting is simply changed to create a totally different occasion card.

SO the blue ones use the Delicate Doilies stamp set. I used Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy. A bit of the organza whisper white ribbon gives a nice finish.

The Happy Birthday is from the hostess set Happiest Birthday Wishes. It punches out lovely with the scallop circle punch too.

The second card uses the Conratulations form the set Wedding Sweet and then punched out with the modern label punch, with some layering the colours of cardstock.

The baby girl card uses the set Little Additions. I have had this set for a while and loved the images, but only just really had obviousl opportunity to use it!

I used Blushing Bride and Rose Red colours and did some random stamping with the small images and added some of the gorgeous Rose Red seam binding ribbon.

So one layout idea, but lots of occassions and colours. Give it a try yourself, it's amazing how quickly a few cards can come together.

Making gifts and packaging...

Hi folks, here we are again, another Friday morning.

I just wanted to make sure you were aware of the class next week for making gift packaging. Lots of you like making the 3D imes, like boxes and bags. I am also aware we don't lawys do those things in hte monthly classes, so here is a new one for you.

This class will run alongside my card club, and will be the 3rd Wednesday of the month. It is only going to run in the daytime, unless I have enough interest for the evening.

The venue is my house and it will be from 10 - 12. The cost is £7.50 per person/kit.

The first one is next week on Wednesday 16th November.

A little sneak peak for this coming week...

Nature Walk in neutrals...

Hi all, still here, just!

I thought I would share a card today that was the original idea for the Wisteria Wonder cards last week. It uses Soft Suede, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake.

I gave the titlae for the post as Nature Walk, but this card uses three stamp sets actually, a bit excessive? Maybe... but I liked it...

I used the birdcage from Nature Walk and stamped it onto Very Vanilla with Soft Suede. I was then able to place the image in the correct place to use the embossing folders frames. The birdcage fits just lovely in this shape. I then carefully cut out the frame.

The background to the main card is using the set Wedding Sweet. I really love the swirly images in this set, really not just for weddings! This was stamped using Crumb Cake, to keep it subtle on the main card.

The greeting is from the set Style Beautiful. This set can so esaily be missed, and yet it has some lovely flourish images and this adaptable greeting. This was stamped in Soft Suede.

And there we go! All done. I love the clean and freshness of this card, but still with a bit of a vintage feel to it! Just my favourite style.

Stampers 6...

Hi again.

The card I am sharing today is one that the ladies in my Stampers 6 received with their orders last month. As the stampers 6 is like a virtual party, then I give a card kit to make in their own time, as a thank you from me.

This uses a stamp set that isn't new to the catalogue, but is new to me, Sweetheart. It's got this lovely stem with leaves, that I can see being used with lots of other floral images.

The colours are Wild Wasabi, Night of Navy and Marina Mist.

The flower I have made on here was using punches, in particular 5-petal and fancy flower. I punched 3 of each and then misted them to moisten the card. I could then carefully scrunch them up. I then attached them together with a brad before they dried. Once they do dry they will be firm again and keep that texture and dimension.

This sample doesn't have a greeting which means it's open to use for any occasions.

Wisteria wonder...

Hi all, here I am again...

Today I want to share some cards that I love, because I love this colour. Wisteria Wonder.

These are so clean and simple, and just use the two colours Wisteria Wonder and Concord Crush.

The stamp set for the floral image is Pocket Sillhouettes. This was stamped in Wisteria Wonder and I then used the embossing folders Designer Frames. These are lovely and you get both frames as a set. Here I stamped onto Whisper White and then cut the frame out.

So a clean and simple layout, with beautiful colours.

Missing in action...

Hi folks, sorry for the lack of activity. It's been busy and half term and goodness knows what!! Anyway, sorry, but will be try and on track a bit more.

So today I have a card to share with you that we made at this months card makers anonymous class.

This was a card I saw on a blog and just loved it! It's beautiful isn't it?

We used Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla. The stamps are the new Delicate Doilies.

The trim along the top is made using the Lace Ribbon Border punch, we just have the top half of the pattern in view. Some gorgeous Crumb Cake seam binding adds that all needed texture...

The greeting is from the set Curly Cute, and it's stamped in Soft Suede.

An additional bit we did, was to use the Spritzer tool with some Soft Suede marker. This was used lightly over the whole card, but really added some dimension to the whole thing.

So threre we go, yeah, I have shared a card finally.

Hi folks, yes I am still here, just not a good blogger, sorry.

Quick post now too, with the details of November class. This is on 5th November from 10 am. It is at Richmond Villages, Painswick and the cost is £15 per person.

I have some names already and now I have details for you to see.

Payment needs to be with me by Tuesday 24th November latest. This project needs quite a lot of cardstock so I need to order it in time for cutting everything.

So we are making a boxed set of cards and gift tags for Christmas. We are using the stampset Beautiful Season and marker pens. The box itself with the divided areas is part of the class, along with the cards and tags.

An offer for booking your place is 10% off the price of the stamp set. The clear mount set is available for £15.25 and the wood will be £18.85. This offer is only available when ordered with booking your place. Saving you 10% and shipping cost. It will be full price on the day of the class. I will order your stamps with the products needed for the class, so you will have it for using on the day.

Sending some love...

Hi, I don't know aout you, but Autumn seems to have arived here with avengence! Although lovely and bright and sunny through the window, the wind is blowing and the temperature has certainly dropped.

SO today I am sending you all a bit of love.

This is a lovely image of tree from the stamp set Easy Events. They are lovely little greetoings and images that colour in beautifully.

I stamped this one onto the largest circle on the Circles die on Whisper White using my Basic Black ink. I was then able to use the blender pend to colour it in. Have you sat and coloured lately? It is actually so relaxing, it's great. You really should try it.

Anyway, I did some faux stitching around the edge in the Rose Red marker pen, which matches with the coloured pink layer of card. That is Rose Red which I have put through the Big SHop and the Polka Dot embossing folder.

Before I stuck that to the card base, I did this nice elegant bow with some Whisper White satin ribbon and used the Pretty in Pink flower brad to hold it all in place. These brads are a real little hidden gem. They are not new to this Idea Book and Catalogue, but I have certainly under-used them. I intend to be using them a lot more, so watch out!!! You get 48 in a container and there are 6 different colours, such good value for money at only £9.75

The whole card front is 5" x 5" and now that we have square envelopes we can post it fine. I love square cards and am so glad we now have them in two sizes, brilliant! Thank you Stampin' Up! that's what I say...

Distressed bird...

Hi all, I have a card to share today that is bit different. I really like distressing things, but I don't do it too much as not everyone likes it. However, one of my customers had a birthday last week and I decided to make this card.

It is based on a card I saw online.

The colours are Bashful Blue, Soft Suede, Night of Navy and Very Vanilla. There are a couple of stamp sets used, Nature Walk and French Foliage.

I made the tag and then did the ripping and layering. The collaging is created beautifully with the stamp sets, as the images all layer onto each other really nicely.

I haven't spoken or seen the lady, so I really hope it was liked. At least I hope it wasn't disliked, maybe just a bit different!!!?

Hi all. Well it is October,so I thought I would this year try and make a few halloween things. Not everybody's cup of tea I know. The US influence is really hitting us isn't it?

So I took a couple of ideas I had seen on blogs and forums and came up with this little simple card idea.

It is such a simple and clean design but I love it!

The ghost is made using the owl punch!! Cool eh? The pumpkin is three ovals, which are punched from Pumpkin Pie (would it be anything else??!!). I inked the edges and then stuck together.

I think I like it because it's not overly halloween, it could almost be autumnal/harvesty??

Designer series papers...

Hi all, happy Monday morning...

Well, some of you will have seen the new catalogue and if you are anything like me you have a wish list as long as your arm :)

One of the changes we have every year is the designer series papers. Each year all the papers change and so we have a lot of new papers to play with this year, and actually we have more sets to choose from.

I will be getting smaples of all the sets within the next coupld of weeks so be sure to ask and see them in realy life. They all look a lot better I can tell you.

So the card I have for today is one made from the Halloween papers Frightful Nights. It sounds really specific, but actually there are some of the patterns which are great for male cards, and this is what I have to show you.

Isn't that manly? I love these rich dark colours and when you see the pack all you initially see is spiders and black cats. Brilliant!

I used the square punches here and the corner rounder to create the shapes. The button in the centre is in Cheery Cobbler, which is one of the colours featured in the papers.

Now I have lots of things planned to make and share, so be sure to pop back often to see the latest I have.

Launch make and takes...

Hi folks, hope you are well.

I am sharing the two cards we made at the launch yesterday.

So this card uses the stamp set Pennant Parade alongside the designer series papers Just Add Cake. The colours are So Saffron and Calypso Coral. This is one of the enw In Colour and is lovely isn't it? The great thing with this set is that we also have the new punch Petite Pennants Builder.

This second card uses the new In Colours only. The layout was inspired by a card from Martha Stewart, a US demo. The stamp set is the Circle Circus set, which although isn't new, looks great in these great colours. The greeting is from the set Sweetheart.

Lovely colours...

Hi and good morning.

Today I am sharing a card design that I have cased (arggh can't remember where!) and did a selection of colours.

Aren't these lovely?

We used the technique of inlaid embossing or embedded embossing. You stamp ad stick your details onto your card and then run it through the Big Shot in the chosen embossing folder. In this case we used the Square Lattice folder.

The colours were basically the three lovely colours we currently have in the seam binding ribbon - Rose Red, Crumb Cake and Baja Breeze. These were then teamed with the Basic Black and the Whisper White.

The stamps are a bit of a mix. The swirl/flourish is from Baroque Motifs, the greeting is from a hostess set Afterthoughts, and the little coloured flowers were punched out using the punch from the Itty Bitty set.

The greeting frame was one of the dies in the Lots Of Tags set of Sizzlits. This is just run through the Big Shot in the right layers and a quick and classy frame is ready to use. The large oval punch fits in nicely too, making your greeting a quik and perfect match to the requirments of the card.

Bleach...

Hi, and good morning.

Today I thought I would share the technique we did at this months class. We actually used bleach on our cards!! *gasp* I know, bleach on our beloved cards and stamps!!!!

But it works and it creates a really great effect.

You can use bleach in a couple of ways. If you fold up some kitchen tissue and place it into a foil tray, by pouring on some bleach you create your own bleach ink pad. You can then stamp in the usual way, a bit of trial and error about the amoun per pot/tissue amount is always good first mind you!

When you stamp this onto your cardstock it will react by taking out the colour pigments. This gives very different effects and colours depending on the cardstock.

This sample here is one we copied from the current Idea Book and Catalogue on page 47.

We used the stamp set Simply Said (that is retiring this week) and stamped with the bleach along the bottom of the main Baja Breeze card base. You can see how the colour has been removed to leave the image in the picture.

You will need to leave it for a few minutes as the bleach reacts. This can be really quick with some card, others it takes a little longer.

We also used the bleach on the birds wing. We stamped before punching out, so it was where we wanted it. You can again see on each wing how different each cardstock is.

Our card is slightly different to the catalogue, but it was great to go and get that inspiration right where I needed it! So make sure you keep your current copy of the catalogue when you get the new one. You can always dip back in for ideas and inspiration.

Stampers 6 and sneak peak...

Good morning.

I have a bit of a teaser for you this morning, which may seem a bit mean, but it is paired with the great opportunity!

I have never done the Stampers 6 groups before as I wasn't sure about them. However, the new Idea Book and Catalogue has some changes to it, that mean I simply cannot pass up this great opportunity for you.

Now I really want you all to host your own Stampin' party. I know you are going to love the new goodies, but I know for sure you are going to love the new hostess benefits sytem even more!!!

So along with having your parties (but you don't have to, to join a Stampers 6) you will want to tick off that long wish list steadily over time. We are all aware of the situation with our purses at the moment, so join in and spread the cost.

So how does it work?

You sign up with 5 other people (I will build the list, it doesn't have to be people you know, although it can if you can get 6 of you together).

You all agree to spend a minimum of £25 per calender month for 6 months. This amount is not including shipping costs.

Each month I place your orders which will reach the minimum hostess level and one person each month will receive the hostess benefits. This will be stamp sets but also could be any items from the main catalogue to the allocted amount.

If you are local I will arrange for collection/delivery at classes. If you live away then I would post your items to you at the predetermined cost.

I do have forms that you would sign as a way of agreeing to stay for the 6 months. I am however aware of life and circumstances changing. In adverse cases communication is key.

So if you are interested, get in touch and I will start putting names on lists and getting paperwork sorted. I will aim to get this going with as many groups of 6 as get together and as soon as we can get orders in.

Starting in October it would run until March 2012.

Baby Blossoms, goodbye...

Hi folks, another Monday morning has arrived!! It is also a good week as I have managed a post everyday!! Oh the wonders of technology is all I can say :)

So today I thought I would share another set from the mini catalogue that will not be going in the new Idea Book and Catalogue, Baby Blossoms. This is really sad as it is a beautifully delicate set of images.

As a sort of farewell we used this set at this months card class (also known as Card Makers Anonymous!!). We tried a new fold card called a Telescopic card. It looks great, really pretty and feminine.

Isn't that pretty?

The main card colour is Pretty in Pink, with some Very Vanilla layers. The main back piece is the Scallop circle die, and then circles of various sizes layered on.

We used Baby Blossoms with Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, and Wild Wasabi inks.

The greeting on the front is actually from Crazy for Cupcakes as I wanted the curved arch effect, and the greeting on the large piece is from the level 2 hostess set, Something to Celebrate.

As an extra touch you could have some ribbon looped at the top to then hang it up on display.

The movement of the card opening is created using brads through the layers. which then means it all swings open.

Extravaganza...

HI all, suddenly realised I have not shown you everything from the great day back at the beginning of the month!! I noticed Kerry shared a few more pictures so it jogged my memory.

So here are the goodie bags we made for everyone, there were one or two people very excited by the little owl!!

This was the little holders we made for their cutlery! This was designed by Kerry, and is really versatile little idea. Inside we had their knife and spoon for food, but also a napkin, wet wipe and sachet of hand cream!! It was pretty impressive if I say myself!!

The lovely food all laid out ready for the rabble!!

Doesn't this look delicious? It went really quickly too, very popular!

So these were the cards we made, they all made 2 of each design, so 10 cards in total, what a great kick start to those Christmas cards!

I did try to get a picture of all the projects together, but this was the best I could get! We really kept them busy all day, but not too much at the same time.

And one final note, we had a birthday!!!! The lovely Gill, who is here in the blue and white blouse celebrated her birthday on the actual day, so of course there were cards and a birthday cake!!! She even had to blow out candles!!

Fun and Fast Notes...

Ho folks please don't panic, I am here again!! Two days in a row!!

Today I am sharing some samples using the stamp set Fun and Fast notes. This is a great alround set, and I have had it for a long time.

I shall be sad to see this retire, but thought I would get the most from it before it does!!

This is a little set inspired by a fellow demo. We made the cake one in card class this month and I have had a play with a couple of the other stamps in the set.

I love these. The colour are Rich Razleberry, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive and Early Espresso.

What I do love about this layout is that you can mix and match the greeting really easily. Sometimes the greeting with the image feels a bit limiting, but by punching out the image and the greeting seperately, it really widens how the set can be used.

It was great fun colouring these in too. I do love colouring and the new catalogue has lots more opportunities for doing this, so watch out ladies, cutting and colouring are on the cards!!!!

What is going on!....

Oh goodness, life is just crazy. Can't beliee that I haven't been on here for a week!! So sorry folks, so busy too'ing and fro'ing to school, it's ridiculous!

SO a couple of things for today, but lots and lots of other stuff still waiting to be shared!!!

I have a great team of other demo's in my downline who all do amazing. However, I have one of them that deserves a big round of applause - Kerry my friend and Stampin' daughter has today achieved the Stampin' Up! incentive trip to Vienna.

She has worked amazingly hard and has done brilliantly well in getting this amazing trip. I want to wish her well, and to continue with her amazing business for a long time to come.

Well done Kerry, your proud Stampin' 'mummy' xx

Okay on another note... my latest class Bow Boutique is booking now and has a few spaces left.

Are you afraid to use ribbon much on your creations? DO you struggle to get a lovely bow??

Wow...

Oh my goodness another two days have gone by! Where are the days going??

I have been busy preparing class kits and samples for Saturday. We are having a Fond Farewell class, using items that will soon be gone. Ahhh, I hear you say.

Folks I hope you are checking the list, because things are selling out! The train set, Choo Choo has now sold out!!

If there are items you need from the list I am placing orders every few days, so I can add to it. PLease don't miss out.

So what is going? Well lots of things, but I thought I would pick out some stamp sets and show some samples. That way you can maybe see the full potenetial and grab your self a quality product before it sells out.

So here are a couple of cards using Simply Said. This is a lovely set that I have used so often at classes and workshops.

Okay folks, just have to share this day with you. My youngest (of four) has started school today :(

We had the usual phot shoot this morning and I just have to share some of the pictures. James is so different to the others. He is a real character and he knows it. These pictures show a little insight into him. I just asked for some nice poses...

Okay, I had loads more but BLOGGER is being stupid with pictures again and turning them all 90'.

Well this is a couple anyway. You would probably get bored looking at someone else's children anyway...

He is lovely and went off with no problems, I guess the bonus of being the youngest of four!! No worries about anything and confidence oozing!!

Phew what a weekend...

Well, I am really hoping that this weekend marks the end of chaos for me!!!

The children all go back to school tomorrow and my youngest starts on Tuesday. So I have spent the day very busy with all the last lots of preparation for that.

But Saturday was a very long, busy and tiring day, but...... a brilliant one. It was our Christmas extravaganza and we had 40 lovely ladies all arrive expecting to have a great day of crafting, chatting, laughing, stamping.... you get the picture??

Kerry and I were there setting up at 7am, and I have to say I think it was a fantastic day. It was a Christmas theme, so we even had the Christmas tree, the carols and mince pies, it really was great!

This is the room from the other direction and you can just see the display with Christmas tree at the end on the stage area.

When the ladies arrived this was one of their things to collect, their goodie bag. These were very well received and there was a lot of ladies falling in love with the little owl I can tell you!! If you click on the picture it will bring it in closer to see better.

Also each lady had one of these on their place setting. We couldn't have a day of stamping without chocolate, and these little lovelies had some inside.

So there is a little taster of the day, I have more to show, but I will scatter them among the week.

Falling in love...finally...

Funny title eh?

All about the owl punch this is!

We have had this punch now for a few months and I have hardly used him, until recently. I just couldn't get inspired at all. Even with all the amazing things out there on the interent and blog world. It just sat there on my shelf looking very lost and lonely.

However, I let my children use him a couple of weeks ago, and OMG!! They created such quick little creatures and they looked amazing, so of course, if they could do that, then I had to, too.

Now I love him and have started trying to put him on everything. He doesn't go on everything obviously, but I can but try!!

So today I thought I would share a card made for a friend, who needed something to help keep her smiling!! I think this little chap did the trick.

This card was a case from a fellow demo Elizabeth Shannon and he was so cute and the card was perfect, so why mess with it?

It uses Neutrals colours, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla and Very Vanilla. A little touch of Pumkin Pie adds the splash of colour.

The greeting is from Hopeful Thoughts stamp set, and I just used my marker pen to only stamp the top half of the whole greeting.

So there we go, the little chap will probably be about a bit more, so watch this space.

Morning all. Yesterday was my monthly card club. We make 5 cards that are nice and clean and quick to make.

It's a great opportunity to build up a little stash of cards for those emergency moments, but also they can be a source of inspiration for more creations.

This card was one we made, and I love it. It was based on a card by Amanda Fowler my upline, and as I have the set I thought we would have a play.

I love this set and then finally got it, and it's sat on my shelf unused!!! But no more... now it has been inked up, it's great, and I will be using it a lot more.

So about this card then. The colours are Peach Parfait, Wild Wasabi and Marina Mist. We stamped the images randomly onto the Whisper White. This was then layered ontot he marina Mist layer and then onto the card base.

The greeting was from Perfect Punches and I used Wild Wasabi, and then punched it out with the extra large oval punch. It was stuck to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals to give some dimension.

Lovely birdies...

Good morning, I hope we are all well?

I have a card I want to share today, that I have made x3!! I had three lots of wedding anniversaries in the space of about 10 days, so decided to make the cards all the same! So I also thought I would share the design with you.

I used Pretty in Pink, with Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip.

I used the Vintage wallpaper embossing folder on the vanilla background layer, and then made the little birds using the 2-step bird punch.

The heart in the centre is from a stamp set called Paisley Prints. I don't see this used very much and I find it difficult to use myself, but really like the images. I stamped it in Chocolate Chip onto Pretty in Pink and then cut the stamped image out, but layered it onto Chocolate Chip that was punched out using the large heart punch. You don't have to cut it out, it does fit with the punch, I just wanted an extra little layer behind.

I also was a bit naughty with the ribbon, as it is a piece of Chocolate Chip satin, which isn't available! I just had a piece in my box that had been missed during the clear out. I used it as it matched perfectly! I probably would have just used Early Espresso and it wouldn't have been noticable.

A little pearl for the birds eyes and all done!

I know one has been recieved and liked, so lets hope the other two are the same.

A bit of the garden...

This card today is one I made for a very lovely lady. I won't embarrass her by naming her, but she will I hope, recognise the card.

I hope this card will just put a little smile on her face during a difficult time, as well as just letting her know I was thinking about her and wishing her well.

The card was made using the stamp set Greenhouse Garden, and the greeting is from Hopeful Thoughts.

The colours are Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, SO Saffron, More Mustard, Melon Mango, Early Espresso nd Whisper White! Phew! That's a fair few colours...

I used the smaller square punch along with the square scallop punch. The ribbon is Whisper White taffetta. I was quite impressed with my bow too, I have to say.

Anyway, I hope when it was opened it created a smile.

Oooh, I hear you say, what an interesting title...

Evolving card...

Hi all, and hope you are doing okay? I have had a busy couple of days with card classes and family stuff, but I have some stuff to share today.

I thought I would show how one of the cards we made this month at card class came to be!!

I found a lovely card on a blog that used the heat and stick powder with dazzling diamonds. So I used that as my base and created this card. I changed the colours and the greeting, but liked the idea of the punch shape and the embossed bottom half.

However, when I then started creating it again and sorting the kits, I just could not get the embossing part to go right. There was an additional section that wasn't working for me on the day, so I decided to change that section.

So here we go, second card version! This time I basically changed the embossed part for a wheel in the same colour. I really liked this and it had the added bonus of the butterfly image popping up as I wheeled, perfect!! So there we were, sorted? No! I felt it needed something else, so I had to tweek again...

There we go, the final card! I simply added a layer of the Marina Mist to give some depth and base to the card. The added bonus again with doing this was it allowed the ribbon to tuck behind and secure better, so all in all, a great card.

This close up shows the glittery butterfly using the dazzling diamonds.

I should probably tell you what products we used for the card shouldn't I?

The colours are Whisper White with Marina Mist and Daffodil Delight. The wheel is the Very Vintage jumbo, in Marina Mist. The ribbon is the satin in Daffodil Delight.

The greeting is from the set, Cheer and Wishes. I stamped it using the stamp-a-ma-jig in Marina Mist.

The butterfly is one of the sizes on the Bigz die Beautiful Butterflies.

The glitter was created by applying Versamark ink to the butterfly die cut, then sprinkling on Heat and Stick powder. This is then heated with the heat gun until it has melted and you can then spinkle on the dazzling Diamonds. The melted heat and stick has now become a glue for the glitter to adhere to. A final quick heat for a few seconds helps to seal it and stop all the glitter being rubbed off.

August class...

Hi all, Sunday morning and we are here again.

Yesterday was my monthly class and we used the Blueberry Crisp papers. I thought I would share some pictures. We had a lovely few hours stamping and punching and creating some beautiful items. Everyone enjoyed themselves and at least one lady is now hooked on her new found hobby!! (you know who you are!!)

So these are some close ups of what we made.

This is a close up of the full size card we made using the same flowers. This one also uses the two-step bird punch branch, which I haven't used for ages. It was nice to use it again actually.

There was a lot of concentration going on, as you can see by the faces. Everyone did say they enjoyed it though!!

There was quite a variety of products used in this class, the 5-petal punch was the main basis of the flowers. But we also used the Fancy Flower punch and the matcing Flower for You stamp, and then the Blueberry Crisp designer series papers.

The main colours used are Not Quite Navy and Pacific Point with Whisper White.

A larger than life card...

Hi and good morning on this wet Thursday morning! Hope you have better weather where you are, it has been raining here since about 3am!!

I am slowly getting back into things, but slowly being the main word here!!

Samples for the Christmas extravaganza are coming together and I may even show you some sneak peaks soon!! Watch this space!!

I also have the Blueberry Crisp class on Saturday so I will share some of those photos too after the weekend.

In the meantime, I want to share a card I made for a lovely lady at the end of the school year. My two daughters have recently got very into their ballroom dancing classes at school, and they were run by a lady called Mrs Hancock. She is in her 80's and has now decided after 30+years to give up dancing lessons. I am so sad, as she is lovely and my girls really liked her. But hey, that is a pretty impressive time isn't it?

Anyway, I made a large card for all the girls to sign, and this is what I am going to share today.

I used the colour scheme of Baja Breeze, Soft Suede and Very vanilla.

The stamp set I based it all around was Vintage Vogue, but added in some of the Big Shot die shapes. These included the Little Leaves, and the Butterflies. The main images of the flowers were stamped in Baja Breeze onto Very Vanilla and then cut out. This enabled me to build up the flowers using the larger blossom and the smaller one. Some pearls in the centre always finishes it off well too. I put them on the butterflies to add some interest there too. They did look very pretty.

There is a mix of cardstock, but also some of the Elegant Soiree designer papers. These papers are lovely and use the same colour combination.

It was difficult to know what greeting to put on, so I finally, after much thought went with this one from the Just Believe set. The greeting is in Soft Suede with the frame around in Baja Breeze and cut out to raise upo on dimensionals.

I said it was larger than life because it is a full A4 sheet folded in half. This size can be a bit daunting when it is an empty space. A good tip I gained form this card was to create a standard card size and then layer it onto the larger size and go from there. The centre soft Suede framedarea was my original card that I built on. Pretty good idea if I say so myself!!

We are back...

Well, here we are all back home again from this scene in the photo.

have you ever been to Tenby, South Wales, beautiful, and we have already got the details for the same time next year!!

We had a lovely week of weather and di lots of things, so now back to normality!!

I have already done about 5 loads of washing, and everything else that needs doing on return.

So I will be back on track in the next couple of days, and will be answering emails and things.

Hi, everyone, well, I showed you one of the cards I made for a lady I know, and I have to report back that she loved them!! Phew!

So today I thought I would share the other card I made for her.

For this card I used the set Vintage Vogue, with Pretty in Pink and Soft Suede, and a touch of Rich Razzleberry. I love stamping and cutting out these flowers as they layer up so beautifully but so easily!!

I used the same alphabet die cut as the other card, Timeless Type, using the Big Shot (still lovin' the new stuff in the mini!!).

The additional little leaves are also made using a Sizzlits die with the Big Shot, and they look really lovely to finish off the flower/foliage look. These were made using Old Olive card.

Some Basic Rhinestones in the flower centres finished it off.

So I have a few days of work and then we go on holiday on Saturday, and I am soooo looking forward to it. I still have some things to share and hopefully should be able to scehdule some posts in, so be sure to keep popping by.

Off to cut kits now for team ladies coming around this evening, card club tomorrow and a workshop with the lovely Sue and her friends on Thursday. Must get washing and packing done in there too...

Razzleberry and pink butterflies...

This past week was my monthly card class. This is now being run during the day as well as the evening, to allow better options for people. So if you fancy coming along and making cards that will stretch you a bit and get you using more product, then why not come along next month. We have a 10-12 option or 7.30 -9.30 'ish, if daytime is not good. Monday August 8th is the next date to make a note of.

So today I thought I would share one of the cards we made. There was a bit of a butterfly theing going on actually. All three cards we made had butterflies as a key feature, spooky eh?? I usually make them all quite different, so not sure what happened there!

Anyway, here is the card.

You can see I had three samples by the end of the day. I do my initial one to display and prep from, but then whilst teaching the class I work through another. This worked really well, as the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set we used has three styles of layer. So as you can see on the picture of the three, each butterfly is slightly different.

The butteflies are made using the Tow Step stamping technique. So the first layer uses the Pretty in Pink for each design. You thencreate the second layer with an additional stamp using the stamp-a-ma-jig to get it lined up. So here I stamped the second layer in Rich Razzleberry. It is this layer that I used three different stamps, the dots, the flowers and the dotty outline. This gives three very different butterlies. Finally puncheing them out with the matching butterfly punch!! I love Stampin' Up! and their coordinating punches, makes creating soo easy!!

This was great to have as a nice set now, or to demonstrate the three different looks.

SO along with Flight of the Butterfly, we also used the embossing folder Perfect Polka Dots on the Pretty in Pink layer.

The little Razzleberry flowers are made using one of the punches from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. There are three in the pack and this is one of them. This is a great little pack of punches actually, as there are two flowers and a circle, which are always useful to fill a little space!! Ours were finished with a little Rhinestone, for that bling finish!

The ribbon is some of the Whisper White organza, which again is a great ribbon for using on pretty much anything. Well, white will go with anything, right? It ties beautifully too. Even for those of you bow impaired crafters out there!!

The other punch used is the Eyelet border punch for the lacy white layer at the bottom. I love this look, for adding some softness to a card really easily.

So there we are, I hope you like the creations shared today? Thankfully I have a house of better people today (three out of four children and a huband being sick in last 24 hours, NOT fun!!), so today we should be able to get back on track....mmm trip to Asda shopping me thinks!!

I am sharing a card today that I was asked to make. I find these a challenge sometimes, especially if the customer has no real instruction and leave it to me to design. I love doing it and I am very pleased with this one, I only hope the lady who has asked for it, does too!!

Now the lady didn't ask fo it to be in a box, but I got a bit carried away with the daisy flower that I had to make the box, or it would get squashed in a standard envelope.

I used the colours Baja Breze, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla. I really love this combination, and I have another card to share later with the same colours as they are so lovely.

I used Baja Breeze for the card base and stamped it with the French Filligree stamp in the same colour. Then I used some Elegant Soiree designer series paper and cut a Top Note shape. It was thie paper set that inspired the colour scheme!

The flowers were built using the Big Shot and the Daisy Die. I cut out a lot in Very Vanilla and Baja Breeze and then just played around with them to get a look I liked. Shaping the petals adds that lovely dimension really easily but effectively.

The centres were my biggest headache as I really didn't know what to put. I finally went with the lovely little floral buttons in vanilla with some taffetta ribbon tied through.

I uised the Big Shot again with the alphabet set to cut the 65 in Soft Seude cardstock. These are great for making a card really personal. I have another card for this lady and it is from her grandchildren and I was able to really make it personal for them. I will share this one too in the next few days!!

The box I made myself to basically fit this card into. Again Baja Breeze and Very Vanilla card and some of the lovely Elegant Soiree paper again. I did add some Baja Breeze seam binding here too, even managed a bow!!!

So there we go, hope you like it, and hope the customer will too.

Hi all, hope you are all well. I had one child home yesterday and now another one home today... making work a little difficult!

Anyway, yesterday I did get some thank yous made for those lovely ladies who have orders coming this month and Charlotte was inspired to make some for her birthday thank you's too.

So here you go, these were mine...

and this is her version...

We kinda did them all between us. So we each helped each other and got a good pile made quite quickly.

The blue version uses the designer series paper Celebrations, with Pacific Point and Pear Pizzazz. Charlotte's uses the Sweet and Sour speciality designer papers, with Tangerine Tango and Rose Red.

They have both had a wheel along the bottom, Sandy Speckles in Pacific Point and Fast Flowers in Tangerine Tango.

The thank you greeting is one from the set Just Believe.

Birthday leaves...

I thought I would share a birthday card today which could work well for a mans card.

The card base is whisper White and the background panel of designer paper is from Woodland Walk.

I have punched out squares of Early Espresso cardstock to create the three 'frames' and then added the leaves on dimensionals. The leaves themselves are from the set, Autumn Splendor, a real lovely set. I stamped them in Wild Wasabi and then cut them out.

The greeting was then stamped in Early Espresso again and is from the set Curly Cute, againa fab and versatile set.

Hey presto!! A great card for male or female!

Baby card at last...

Okay here we are again and I am going to try the baby card, wish me luck!!

Yeah!!!

I think I have now sorted what my problem was.

This was made for a couple who have had their first baby, a little boy.

The stamp set used is Little One, and it's a set that in the catalogue doesn't always look inspiring, but when you get using it, I really like the images. It is very vintage styled.

The colours are Bashful Blue and Night of Navy with some Soft Suede thrown in!

The blocks were created using the square punches, they layer onto each other really nicely. I had coloured the pram image with the same colours using the Blender pens.

The greeting panel is using the Decorative label punch, and words from the Level 2 hostess set Something to Celebrate. I have then used Linen Thread as some added detail.

The card has been received and I believe that it was liked by all.

So there we are, finally managed to share the baby card and I hope you like it.

Stampin Up demo in the making...

Good evening folks. What a few days I have had!! Lots going on including our eldest daughters birthday celebrations. She was 9 this week. but she made me smile recently when she made a comment.

It was whilst we were making a card, well, she was making it I was just following her instructions for bits she couldn't quite manage!! So that is what I am sharing this evening.

She was going to her best friends First Holy Communion and so she knew straight away she wanted to use the dove!!

How gorgeous is her card?? I was so proud of her.

Do you see how she has inked the edge of the card, this was because she accidently put the completed card down straight onto an ink pad!!!! Panic!!! No, we just daubed the ink around the whole edge, and problem solved and disaster averted!!

It was when she had finished she asked me this question...

" Mummy when I am a bit older can I be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator"

How cool is that? I can't wait.

So what did she use? The stamp set is Special Blessings and the colours she has used are Whisper white with Pretty in Pink and Pink Pirhouette.

There was some heat embossing too with white embossing powder, and yes that was the bit I had to do! No heat gun for a then 8 year old!!

The background swirls are with Baroque Motifs.

So there we are a future demonstrator!! Brilliant. Managed to get the photos to work too.

Baby try again...

Just thought today I would try to upload the baby card again. This was one made for a friend on the arrival of their son.

So here goes, fingers crossed everyone!!!!

Okay, let's try something else...

Woo hoo, okay the colour isn't great here but you can see the card, so that's fine.

This again was inspired from a card over at Splitcoast stampers. It uses the lovely stamp set Baby Blossoms. I have used the ink colours, Rose Red, Pear Pizzazz, Baja Breeze, and So Saffron.

This set is great with it's 2-step stamping, but I have just used them here in one layer images. This creates a lovely collage effect.

I think I will try another shot of this and see it better for the colours, wait there... no, not happening with that picture, sorry.

So anyway, the greeting is from one of the hostess level 1 sets, Sillhouette Sentiments, which was stamped in Rose Red and then punched out with the Scallop Oval and the large oval.

The ribbon is some of the 1/2" stitched-poly ribbon in Pear Pizzazz. It is secured in place by being positioned inside a brad from the HodgePodge Hardware set. By opening out the brad you can position the ribbon and then close the brad again and thus wrapping it around the ribbon to secure to your card front. It's also a really simple way to get this lovely looking bow!

So woo hoo another post has been done.

Hi all, well yes I am here and I am going to try again.

I thought I would try which ever card I can get to upload the right way and then do the writing, so here we go....

Yeah, we have some pictures!!

These are showing a card we made last month (June) at my team training/get together. It was one I saw over at Splitcoast but it was by a UK demo, known on there as Picklescards!! Thank you for the inspiration.

It uses the set Itty Bitty Bits and the In Colours(Concord Crush, Blushing Bride, Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz and Peach Parfait). I was really loving this set, but actually found it really hard to sit down and use it. I have now come to the conclusion that it's one of those sets that you use on everything for little extra embellishments. It's great.

So there we are, I will leave it at that for today and just be grateful I have managed a post with images!

A new baby...

HI all, yes I am still about but very preoccupied with family and things needing higher priority than my blog, so sorry.

The card I have today to show you is for a lovely couple who have just had their little baby boy. I met Harrie at a Stampin' party and she has been hooked ever since. However, I think her time will be a bit fuller now with things other than making cards!!

Hi folks, I am here again. I have just deleted a load of writing having tried to upload the [icture again, and given up. I tried another dozen times and not once was it the right way around!

So I am trying another card to share today.

Yeah!!! I have a picture and it's the right way around.

This is a great card and really cheerful.

The stamp set is Party This Way and uses the colours Pear Pizzazz, Pacific Point and Real Red. The candles are a bit crooked aren't they? Really should have used my Stamp-a-ma-jig!!

This set I have had since convention last year, which is October, and I have hardly used it. When I look at this card though I am questioning why that is? It's a fab set with some really great images in.

SO there we are, a card finally!!

On a final note, the booking date for Blossoms Petal class is this Friday, so if you want to book your slot then I need to kow and have payment by then. As there is product included I need to get it ordered in time. Click on the image to your right for all the details.

Wow, it never rains but it pours...

Had to change the venue of my new card class for today due to electrical issues at the hall, only to replan to do it at home, and then at midnight last night.... great bang and electric lost!!!!!

A tree had come down and taken out the electricity to us and our four neighbours!!!

So a morning with no power and no class :) Really sorry ladies, I will sort an alternative date for you.

It is all back on now and I have had a decent cup of tea, have you had one made with a saucepan of water recently? Not nice.

So I have a card to share. It could be great for male or female and I love it actually, hope you do too.

Tomorrow we have a big family event and celebration. Our four children are being Baptised and as it was mine and Neil's 10th wedding anniversary on Wednesday we are renewing our wedding vows in the same service...

So cue, PARTY!!

We have family and freinds coming from all over and plan a day of catching up and having quality time with them all.

Hi folks, well I am here at home on my own!! No children... feels wierd actually. Can't live with them but can't live without them!! Ain't that the truth?

Anyway, I have done a couple of pictures to show you how to make the open note box from Saturday. I am not computer savvy, so this is very basic and if you have any questions or it really is totally useless, then please email me.

Okaythis shows the basic size and where the lines will be and what to cut out. It is obviously not to scale but gives a clear image of where to cut out (the shaded bits).

Now this shows the card stamped and the bits cut out. I have written on here where the score lines need to be done.

So on the 8 3/4" side, you need to score at 1" and 2" from each side.

On the 11 1/2" length you need to score at 1", 7 1/2" and 8 1/2".

A good tip is to always make things like this in rough first. I usually have pieces of retired cardstock or pre Stampin' Up! days papers. It helps to save your final papers.

All the little tabs get folded into the sides, which fold over and give a nice finish to the inside of the box.

The top covered area is adhered to the outside of the box before decorating in your chosen way.

Strength and Hope class and fundraising...

Hi all, and hope you are having a relaxing Sunday afternoon.

Things are much improved here in this house and come tomorrow when the four children are back at school and nursery it will be better again!!

Well, yesterday was the Strength and Hope class, which was also raising money for the worthy cause, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. There were 7 ladies and we had a lovely time making some great cards and spending time chatting and laughing.

I thought I would share what we made, and a couple of little extras as thank you's from me.

So that was what we made, using the Strength and Hope stamp set. We also got to shimmer up the butterflies with the brilliant shimmer paint in Champagne Mist, lovely, lovely, lovely!!

I had also made these lovely little bags for everyone, and of course they had some chocolates in!!! What else?

There also some little pink cupcakes with the added touch of the butterfly again, he got around a lot I can tell you!

Anyway ladies thank you for coming along and thank you for your support. I have put in the order for the day, and now can tell you how much we raised.... drum roll... £50!

Thank you again. For a small number of us I think that is brilliant!!

For those of you that did not see the details, I match the Stampin' Up! figure of £1 per set, and then earnings and raffle and orders on the day all added in 10% too.

So with the Stampin' Up! donation we raised just off £60, so even better.

Little man...

Hi all, well the week is nearly over and it's been interesting!

I wasn't able to get much done as the time went by and I thought I would share my little man and what we have been managing this week.

These were taken yesterday when there was slight imporvement, it hasn't been fun and he has been so good.

I have my team training/stamping tomorrow so just finishing last bits of that. Otherwise lots of other things to share as I get back on track.

Using designer papers...

Hi all, we have lots more spots today on little man...still not well but he's happy watching a bit of telly so I have a few minutes to post another card today.

This card shows how quickly but effectively you can use designer papers to create a card.

This card shows the Greenhouse Gala papers. This sheet does lovely with the Pear Pizzazz and Peach Parfait colours.

The designer paper here is mounted onto Pear Pizzazz cardstock and the little flowers are in Peach Parfait. They were punched out using the Boho Blossoms punch and then using just the one flower of the three. Some little rhinestones were stuck in the centre to give the finishing touch.

The greeting is from the Curly Cute set and is stamped in Early Espresso.

This layout/design would work great with any patterned/designer papers, in fact if I get chance this week I may just give it a go!

A quickie...

Hi folks, just grabbing a few minutes to do a post, with young man beside me!

So the card I am sharing today is lovely quick card, that can look different in different colours. You could then use it for any occasion for male or female.

The colours used here are River Rock for the main foliage and the layer of cardstock.

It is mounted onto a Whisper White card base.

The additional colour for some contrast is Always Artichoke. I edged the front panel with the Artichoke and then also did the greeting in the same. This one is from the stamp set Cheer and Wishes.

So there we go, a quick and easy card that looks lovely.

Poorly boy...

Hi folks, here we are on a wet Sunday afternoon!

I am going to have an interesting week, as my young man has come out with lots of spots and seems to have chicken pox!!!!

So if I manage to get organised it will be fine, but if all goes a bit quiet on here, you will know why.

They do pick their moments don't they? Mind you, is there ever a good time for them to catch these things? Better now I guess than in a few years.

Thanks for your patience and hopefully I will be able to pop on for some of thins week.

Technique class...

Good morning all, I hope it is going to be a nice weekend for you all. We have a few things planned, but basically a calm and family based one for us.

Today I wanted to share some picutures I took yesterday evening at technique class. I just had to get the camera out becuase the faces of the ladies last night was brilliant!!

The technqiue we were doing was one I have known about for over 3 years, but it has taken me all this time to pluck up the courage!! Not becuase it's difficult, but it is messy!!!!! and I mean messy!!!!

Janet, was really not sure! Thank you ladies for being game and giving it a go. It really is messy and we used so many plastic bags and gloves. I had even bought plastic tablecloths!!

You can see some of the effects though and the way different colours look when using the shaving foam. Everyone's looked really different. Some were paler, some were very patterned, it was lovely to see the variations. It was well worth the messy work.

We did the pink sheet and the green sheet. The colours were Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose and Rose Red, and the greens were Always Artichoke, Old Olive and Certainly Celery.

The last picutre shows the card sample we made using the sheet created.

Scrapbooking...

Morning all, it is still May, which means it is still National Scrapbooking month. I really wanted to show you lots of scrapbooking ideas, but time is always against me in this house!! However, I do have a layout to show you today.

This has no photograph at the moment, as I wanted to show you how easily a page can be made without the distraction of the photo.

This page is built upon a 12"x12" sheet of Basic Black cardstock. I have then used the designer series papers 'Love Letter'.

The papers are based on the colour Very Vanilla, Basic Black and some Riding Hood Red, so that is the colours I have used.

I have used the papers to their full, to allow the page to come together really easily. The edges were ripped and some ink applied. The vanilla squared paper with the swirl is how the paper comes. Easy peasy!! The dotty paper is also just how it comes in the pack. You can't see in the picture but I did add some Basic Rhinestones to the swirl/floral bit for some added shine!

The panel of Riding Hood Red cardstock is ready for me to put my photograph on, which as the title of the page says, will be the family.

The title has been created again in a really easy way, with the Vintage Type rub-ons. These are great value as you get a set of alphabet (upper and lower case)in Basic Black and also a set in Very Vanilla. (Product 119975 £6.75)

Now I know what some of you think about rub-ons, a bit naff, not very user friendly??? Well, think again. These are so easy to use and look amazing. It looks almost as though they have been printed on the paper. They are also really easy to use. Stampin' Up! have mastered the balance of easy to rub off without rubbing off on anything and everything, if you know what I mean!!!!

Then literally the final bit of this page is two pieces of ribbon, some Very Vanilla tafetta, and some Riding Hood Red striped wide grosgrain. I actually got this during an offer Stampin' Up! had, and really wish it was available all the time. Maybe Basic Black would be a good substitute?

So there we go. That really is how simply and quickly a page can come together. So don't be scared, get some photos out of the box sat there gathering dust, and have a go! You never know, you might just like it!!
